Introduction
This tool can be used to calculate the shortest path and solve the traveling salesman problem using two or more destinations.
Click on the Routing() tool.
Routing panel should appear in the Left panel with the following content:
Algorithm. Allows selection of one of the available algorithms. Is not visible if only one algorithm is available.
Layer. Allows selection of the layer which will be used for route calculation. Is not visible if only one layer is available.
Type. Determines the routing type. For example there could be a "by foot" option which will prioritize pedestrian paths, or there could be a "by car" option which will prioritize motorways and highways.
Is only visible if more than one option is available.
Routing table. A table which contains start and end points. Each row contains three columns:
- Letter - a letter which defines the destination
- Address bar - an input field that contains the destination address
- Delete - is used to remove the corresponding destination from the table
Add destination. Adds additional destination to the routing table.
Get direction. Calculate and display the route.
There are two ways to set a location. First one is to enter the address into the destination's address bar and select a value from the suggested results below, the destination will be drawn on the map.
Second one is to select the destination's row and click on the map, the destination's address will be displayed in it's address bar. A minimum of 2 and maximum of 25 points can be used in route calculation.
